DMS 3D Plus

DMS 3D Plus was born from the experience learned with the DMS 2D and DMS 3D lines and combining the main features of the two systems. The 2D monitoring columns are mainly intended (with the exception of the GV series) to monitor landslides and slope stability (on the x, y plane) inside cased boreholes; the 3D Multipacker columns, on the other hand, are intended for monitoring geotechnical parameters in engineering works in uncased boreholes directly in contact with the soil/rock through the expansion of packers (monitoring x, y, z).

The standard production has the following characteristics:

  • Biaxial inclinometric sensor (I);
  • Piezometric sensor (U);
  • Extensometric sensor (E)
  • Triaxial accelerometric sensor (A);
  • Temperature sensor (T);
  • Digital compass (M).

DMS 3D Plus was born from the necessity of having an instrument able to measure also the z displacement in landslides, being moreover fully compatible with the DMS® 2D lines (in mechanical, electronic, hardware and software elements). The instrument, through a special telescopic case controlled by a linear displacement transducer, can measure in addition to the usual parameters of the 2D lines (x and y displacements, temperature, acceleration, groundwater level, etc.) also the deformations along the z axis as the DMS 3D MP using packers no longer expandable but with thin layers. DMS 3D PLUS can work inside uncased boreholes or in boreholes specifically conditioned with extenso-assestimetric casing and can be connected directly to any module of DMS 2D lines.
